Player Props: Week 17

I’ve been on a pretty good roll lately. I hit on four of my six suggestions for Week 16, giving me 12 wins and four losses over the past three weeks. My season record is now 51 wins and 38 losses. I have to admit, it was hard finding player props I liked for Week 17’s main slate, but let’s see if I can build on my 57% winning percentage.

Please remember that gambling is super risky and you should only use funds that you can afford to lose.

Ameer Abdullah, RB Las Vegas Raiders

Over 27.5 rushing yards

Abdullah’s over rushing yards prop was on my radar last week but regrettably I didn’t include it in my article, and of course he crushed it. Even though he’s a passing down specialist Abdullah is the best active RB on the Raiders’ roster. I don’t love the fact that Abdullah is playing on the road at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, but the Saints have given up the ninth most rushing yards (1612) and 4.86 YPC to RBs this season. This rushing prop went up by two yards overnight. Let’s hope I’m not too late in suggesting this prop.

Jordan Love, QB Green Bay Packers

Over 248.5 passing yards

Love has a good matchup against a Minnesota Vikings defense that has given up the second most passing yards (1454) to QBs over the past five weeks. He threw for 389 passing yards in a Week 4 shootout in his first meeting against the Vikings and he has become much better at avoiding the blitz since then, something the Vikes do more than any other team in the league.

Josh Jacobs, RB Green Bay Packers

Over 2.5 receptions

Let’s pick on the Saints. They gave up eight receptions to Seattle Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III last week. Jacobs has had four receptions in four of his last six games. Based on all that, I think he’s got a good chance of making at least three catches against the Vikings this week.

Joe Flacco, QB Indianapolis Colts

Over 223.5 passing yards

This is the most wonderful time of the year for Flacco. Between Weeks 13 and 17 of last season Flacco averaged just over 323 passing yards per game. He faces a tanking New York Giants team that has given up an average of 240 passing yards to quarterbacks over their last five games.

Josh Allen, QB, New York Jets

Anytime TD scorer

I don’t have to sell you on how good Allen is at running the football. He’s got 11 rushing TDs this season, including one in Week 6 against the New York Jets, who happen to be his Week 17 opponent. He’ll score at least one more this week.
