Madness

This past holiday season one of the hottest items that was impossible to find was the Classic NES system.  30 of our favorite Nintendo games from the 80s and 90s were all on a mini console and came with one controller, with a short cord. I was lucky enough to get my hands on one, and it brought back so many good memories of childhood. Super Mario Brothers, Mega Man 2, Zelda, Ninja Gaiden, Tecmo Bowl! Tecmo Bowl! Even Punch Out! It should have been Mike Tyson's Punch Out, but I'm sure either the licensing fees or the fact that he has a tattoo on his face would be the reason they went with regular Punch Out!

I had so much fun with it, that it made me think back to more games that I loved that weren't part of the Classic system. BattleToads, Bionic Commando, Pro Wrestling, Double Dribble, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Well, I sat down with my good buddy Ron (who loves video games more than life itself), and we thought of the top 64 original Nintendo games.supermariobros

It is OVER! I am completely shocked by this entire vote, but after all of these polls it is Super Mario Brothers who takes home the title! Bases Loaded, Double Dribble, Metroid, Donkey Kong, Tyson's Punchout and then Super Mario 3 all fell victim to Mario and Luigi and took the championship of the Nintendo Madness Tournament! Thank you all for chatting it up, and especially voting! Until next year!
