The 2023 Fantasy Football Impact:

If you came for an in-depth look at the Dallas weapons acquired in the draft, here we go: they got a tight end, and he wasn't their first choice. Dallas was bamboozled when the Buffalo Bills leapfrogged them to select Dalton Kincaid. Jerry Jones was left clutching his pearls and fell onto Luke Schoonmaker of Michigan. Schoonmaker could immediately find himself in a playmaking role as Dallas has little talent at the position now that Dalton Schultz has moved on in free agency.

At 6-foot-5 and 4.63 speed, Schoonmaker has flashed the ability to move in the open field. I wouldn't expect the second coming of Jason Witten in year one, but Schoonmaker in this offense could put up top-12 numbers once he learns the position at the NFL level. I'm always very weary of pumping up rookie tight ends for that reason. In redraft, I'm monitoring Schoonmaker, but in dynasty, I'd be more than ready to take a flier. Dallas invested second-round draft capital which is nothing to scoff at.

Deuce Vaughn in the seventh is a nice story, but he likely doesn't even make the team. The real winner here is Tony Pollard who should dominate high-value touches with only Ronald Jones to spell him.
