Matchups

Freddy Freeman is 11/26 with 3 doubles, 1 triple, 4 Home Runs, 9 RBI and 4 walks vs Jose Urena.  Freeman is destroying RHP this year with an OPS over 1.000 and all of 7 of his home runs coming off RHP as well.  At home, you guessed it, an OPS over 1.000.  I see a big day coming for Freddy today.

Miguel Cabrera is 10/22 with 3 doubles vs Michael Pineda.  Cabrera comes in swinging a hot bat with a 13 game hitting streak and 6 of those games were multi-hit games.  His average has climbed from .181 to .255 during streak.

Charlie Blackmon is 4/8 with 1 double and 1 triple vs Dinelson Lamet.  Blackmon might be heating back up.  Heading into the Sunday night matchup vs the Dodgers he’d collected hits in 4 of 5 games.  He’s smacked 4 of his 5 home runs vs RHP this season and over his career at Petco Park has slashed .271/.325/.481 – not jump of the page numbers but 30 extra base hits over 68 games (17 doubles, 1 triple, 12 homers) looks pretty good.

Zac Gallen has held current Giants to 7/41 with 1 extra base hit and 1 RBI.  This will be his 3rd start against the Giants this year.  He’s 1-0 with 11ks over 13 innings, a 1.38/1.00 ERA/WHIP combo and a .178 BAA.

Zach Plesac has held current Royals to 17/81 with 2 extra base hits and 7 RBI with 20 Ks.  He beat KC back on 9/1 when he went 6 innings, allowed 4 baserunners, 1 run and struck out 6.  On the season Zach has a 1.33/0.67 ERA/WHIP combo with a .165 BAA and he’s faced one of the toughest lineups in baseball, the White Sox, twice!
