Ambetter 400 NASCAR Cup Series Fantasy and Betting

Hello, race fans!  Welcome back to the NASCAR Cup Season! Our lineups cashed last week, so let's make some more money this week! It's time for the Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Georgia. The weather looks clear, with temps in the 50s. The race is slated to begin at 3:00 pm Eastern. Start your engines!

I'll be playing in Draft Kings this week. If you're new to the NASCAR DFS world, here's a quick summary of how scoring is done:

Look for a mix of drivers that fit the following:

Starting up front can potentially lead to lots of laps.

Good drivers starting farther back can pass many cars and finish with a strong differential.

Drivers starting up front I like:
Joey Logano, Kyle Busch

Drivers with great differential potential and could lead laps:
William Byron, Ryan Blaney

Drivers with great differential points and possible top finishes:
Daniel Suarez, Justin Haley

Most likely to be chalk plays:
Corey LaJoie, Chase Elliott

It will be very tough to beat the chalk of Corey LaJoie and Erik Jones this week after their solid Daytona 500 finishes and low starting positions. However, over the past four races, Justin Haley has an average finish of 12.0 with two top-tens, and Daniel Suarez has an average finish of 10.3 with two top-five finishes, which is a great differential play.

Race Winner  Chase Elliott
Best Bet for a solid finish Ryan Blaney, William Byron
Dark Horse Differentiators Daniel Suarez, Justin Haley

NASCAR Fantasy Live:

The revamped Fantasy Live game run by is a free game to win prizes and test your skills at picking drivers with limited starts. Each driver has 10 allocations, a garage slot you can swap with mid-race, and the ability to choose drivers in head-to-head match-ups for bonus points.

To start the season, I like a mix of drivers who I can save some starts paired with plate track studs. Here's who I have in my NASCAR Fantasy Live Pool this week:

One-and-done Games:

Earlier this month, I wrote about different strategies in "one-and-done" leagues.  This season, I'll lay out some names that fit each strategy throughout the season.  The order I show them is the order I would play them this week.

"Parachute Theory" or "Studs early and often:" Joey Logano, Kyle Busch, Ryan Blaney

"Steady Hand Theory" Mix of Studs and Mid-pack drivers: Bubba Wallace, Brad Keselowski, Chris Buescher

"Late Bloomer Strategy" No Studs Early and often: Austin Cindric, Daniel Hemeric, Corey LaJoie
