Daytona 500 DFS and Games

Good morning, race fans!  It's time for "The Great American Race", The Daytona 500!  After a packed Speedweeks 2022, the final event to kick off the 2022 season is upon us!  Let's take a quick look at some DFS plays, some lines worth playing, and who we're playing in several free fantasy games.  Start your engines!

If you're looking at playing any 6 driver DFS games today, Team Penske Drivers and their ally, Wood Brothers racing, have been stout from the time they unloaded last month for the Next Gen testing thorugh final practice on Saturday. The Roush-Fenway-Kesolowski Fords won their respective Duals races, and the Stewart-Haas Fords have also shown some speed.  Despite the Hendrick Chevys sweeping the front row, the Fords are faster in the pack racing we see at Daytona.

Best Bets:

Daytona 500 Winner  Joey Logano
Best Bet for a solid finish Chase Elliott, Brad Kesolowski, Denny Hamlin
Dark Horse Differnetiators Harrison Burton, Chris Buescher, Corey LaJoie
Drivers I'm fading everywhere Kyle Larson, Kyle Busch, Bubba Wallace

My DFS Line-ups Today:

DK $200K Micro Slingshot
DK $60k Micro Slingshot Fantasy Live

The revamped Fantasy Live game run by is a free game to win prizes and test your skills at picking drivers with limited starts. Each driver has 10 allocations, a garage slot you can swap with mid-race, and now the ability to choose drivers in head-to-head matchups for bonus points!

Daytona can be a wild-card. "The Big One" can wipe out drivers that are better choices during the rest of the season.  I like to blend start-saves in with a consistent favorite in the garage slot to swap in to help save a rough day.  Here are my Live Picks for the week:

Driver Group Game:

Here's who I have for the week:

One-and-Done Games:

If you are in any one-and-done pools, I'm going with Harrison Burton or Corey LaJoie.
