EPL DFS Plays For This Weekend

Only 5 game weeks to go in this year's EPL.

And even though the title is almost decided the race for the top 4 and relegation issues are still outstanding. That being the case expect the unexpected over the course of the next few weeks. Standard match tactics will go out the window depending upon the circumstances of a particular game.

Let’s get into it and see what we have in store this week.

BRIGHTON V LEEDS

Brighton has 7 points in hand of Fulham with 5 games to go and would have to collapse entirely to go down now.  Fulham has some really difficult fixtures ahead of them, but while there is mathematical hope Brighton still has to get another few points to make sure they are safe. They take on Leeds who will finish in the top half of the table on their return to the Premier League and they should be very proud as they have entertained us all immensely. In fantasy terms looking at this game, it’s the Leeds players who have consistently scored the majority of fantasy points between these two teams over the season. Brighton has struggled to score goals but they could be in the position of needing to in this game if Leeds score early.

L. Dunk for Brighton is a defender I’m always happy to put in a slate as he always scores well and can pop up at set-pieces to score a goal. L. Trossard is another important player for them and you can expect him to be working hard in midfield and he should rack up a few fantasy points. N. Maupay has disappointed me overall this year but this is a game where he could pop up and score especially as he is still the penalty taker for Brighton.

J.Harrison didn’t have a great game last weekend but he should be more comfortable at home.  He does get through a lot of work in a game he will have a chance of adding to his goals and assist tally in this one. I love having S. Dallas in my slates as he can play in defense or midfield and is very capable of scoring goals as he has done this season. J. Phillips is growing on me too and you should not leave him out as a big scoring week from him isn’t far away.

CHELSEA V FULHAM

Chelsea are now favorites to finish in the top 4 and with so many clean sheets to their name since Tuchel took over it’s hard not to look at stacking your defense with Chelsea defenders and their keeper.  A trio of Mendy, Zouma, and Rudiger looks the way to go in at least one slate. They will be expensive but I can't raise an argument against it. Fulham have a massive task here needing 3 points to keep their hopes of staying up alive.  A. Lookman and A. Mitrovic seem to be their only hope as far as I can see. I can't recommend any of their defenders in this game.

Chelsea also has M. Mount in the middle of the park and he rarely lets us down. Ominously for Fulham T. Werner scored in his last game and he could actually start to accumulate some fantasy points for the rest of the season.

The one thing I would flag up is Fulham will fight for their premier league lives so a shock isn’t impossible but still unlikely.

EVERTON V ASTON VILLA

The last game of the day will mean more to Everton than Villa but it should be an open affair and hopefully, there will be goals in it. Starting at the back whoever’s is in goal for Everton could be a good shot here for inclusion in a slate or two. M. Holgate is starting to look good at the back and can rack up some fantasy points. No way can you leave out J. Rodriguez as I think this game is made for him and he will get space to work his magic.  D.C. Lewin has not been on fire lately but he could have a good night here.

Villa is getting used to playing without Grealish but not a lot of reasons for them to fight too hard here but E. Ghazi is always worth a run in DFS slates.  O. Watkins just doesn’t score enough for me but in DFS that’s always when a player pops up and his ownership could be low here so maybe worth considering in one slate.

So a very interesting three game slate and we should see plenty of goals.  As the season draws to a close let’s try and get some cash in the bank before the Euros are upon us in June. I’m really excited about it and in case you missed it I’m now an affiliate with Fan Team the biggest DFS site in Europe and if you live in Europe you can join by clicking the link below:
