It's a full slate Friday! All teams are playing today, the Cardinals, the Marlins, everyone! Here is the Scouting Report with your hottest hitters over the last 7 days and the favorable head to head match-ups to help you fill out your DFS rosters and make the tough decisions on who to start and who to sit in your season long league.

Who’s hot over the last 7:

Aaron Judge 8/24 5 HR 11 RBI

Gio Urshela 10/25 3 HR 10 RI

Charlie Blackmon 13/27 2 HR 11 RBI

Renato Nunez 8/24 4 HR

Fernando Tatis 7/24 3 HR 6 RBI 2 SB

Max Kepler 7/24 7 R 2 HR 7 RI 1 SB

Brett Gardner 6/15 3 HR

Nick Castellanos 7/24 4 HR

Xander Bogaerts 9/19 2 HR

Mike Trout 4/12 3 HR

Yu Darvish 2-0 13 IP 11 Ks 0.69 ERA 0.69 WHIP – Next Start 8/11 @CLE

Randy Dobnak 2-0 11 IP 5Ks 0.00 ERA 0.73 WHIP – Next Start 8/10 @MIL

Who’s on ice over the last 7:

J.D. Martinez 4/16 0 HR

Rafael Devers 4/19 1 HR

Pete Alonso 3/23 0 HR

Anthony Rendon 3/21 0 HR

Gleyber Torres 2/23 0 R 0 HR 0 RBI

Keston Hiura 4/17 0 R 0 HR 0 RBI

Eugenio Suarez 2/23 1 HR

Marcus Semien 4/31 2 RBI

Cash Club

6:05 Orioles at Nationals

Milone 0-1 5.63 vs TBD

Kendrick 12/32 2 HR

Castro 5/8 2 Doubles

No interest in Milone here.  Nats are home, Soto is back, Howie and Starlin get to him, Turner is due...moving on.

6:40 Yankees at Rays

Tanaka 0-0 3.38 vs Snell 0-0 5.40

Zunino is interesting 6/21 2 HR

LeMahieu 6/13

Sanchez 5/19 4 HR

All-together Rays slash .211/.258/.367 so favorable for Tanaka.  Snell is walking too many of the current Yankees, they carry a .374 OBP in 130 AB.  I’d avoid Snell.

7:05 Tigers at Pirates

Boyd vs Kuhl 0-0 1.80

Limited H2H on both sides.  15 at-bats total vs Boyd and 30 total vs Kuhl.  Go with hot bats.

Boyd in those 15 at-bats is allowing a .517 OBP – not promising and Kuhl in 30 is only allowing an OBP of .236.  If desperate Kuhl could work.

7:05 Braves at Phillies

Wright 0-1 7.50 vs Velasquez 0-0 12.00

None vs Wright – no Phillie has more than 3 at-bats.

Acuna 4/11 3 Doubles

Freeman 9/27

Inciarte 10/25

Markakis 9/22

Swanson 6/16.

Don’t trust Wright yet and all of the numbers say Velasquez is in trouble here.

7:10 Marlins at Mets

Alcantara 1-0 1.35 vs Wacha 1-1 6.00

Conforto 6/20 2 HR

McNeil 6/17 1 HR

Cano 4/12

Davis 4/10

Nothing to get excited about vs Wacha – a lot of 1, 2 or 3 AB situations minus Aguilar (2/12), Villar (2/11) and Cervelli (5/16).

Alcantara has a nice start under his belt vs the Phillies back on opening day but I don’t trust him here.  Too many Mets have gotten to him.  Wacha give me no confidence.  He’s coming off a way to high 22% HR/F ratio in 2019 so I’m staying away.

7:30 Blue Jays at Red Sox

Roark 1-0 1.80 vs Weber 0-2 11.57

Bogaerts 3/3 1 HR

Not enough data to really LOVE anyone so start the hot hitters and Bogaerts.  There should be runs in this one.  Jays cumulative are 10/23 vs Weber and Red Sox are .373/.406/.540 vs Roark in 39 at-bats.  Not a lot of data but not inspiring.  Grab a bat or two, leave the starters alone.

8:05 Twins at Royals

Smeltzer 1-0 11.57 vs Junis 0-0 4.15

Not enough H2H data vs Smeltzer

Kepler 6/18 1 HR

Polanco 4/14

Rosario 6/17

Sano 3/9 2 HR

Let’s be real, not entertaining either starter here in any format.

8:10 Reds at Brewers

Bauer 1-0 0.68 vs Lauer 0-0 0.00

A Garcia 9/30 2 HR

Nothing else to jump on here from the H2H data vs Bauer or Lauer.  Bauer does have 97 AB vs Brewer hitters and has held them to a .213/.276/.361 line which is encouraging.  On the other side Lauer only has 31 AB vs Reds hitters and they’ve accumulated 8 hats, 8 walks and 3 extra base hits.  Bauer – OK, Lauer – No.

8:10 Indians at White Sox

Civale 1-1 3.75 vs Cease 1-1 6.48

None vs Civale – nobody’s hit him well enough to feel too good about rolling them out in a DFS setting.

Only one vs Cease and that’s Lindor who’s 2/5 with 2 home runs…and even that is a small sample size that could correct itself today.  I’m staying away from both starters and if I’m playing any bats it’s a hot one.

8:15 Cubs at Cardinals

Lester 1-0 0.82 vs De Leon

Goldschmidt 8/17

Wong 7/20

No data vs De Leon.

The Cardinals, outside of Goldy, Wong and Wieters aren’t doing much vs Lester so I’d be ok there, but no thanks on De Leon.

9:05 Angels at Rangers

Canning 0-1 3.38 vs Lyles 0-1 6.00

Limited data but of that, Choo is 3/6 with 1 HR vs Canning and Upton is 5/9 vs Lyles.

I’d stay away from both starters, too much risk.  Canning is the better option, but going into Texas against a lineup that he doesn’t have a lot of history against and can thump gives me pause.

9:10 Diamondbacks at Padres

Weaver 0-2 14.73 vs Lucchesi 0-1 8.44

Ahmed 7/16 2 HR

K. Marte 7/16 1 HR

Until either of these guys has a good outing it’s a strong pass for me.  Good game to grab a bat or two though.

9:10 Astros at Athletics

Greinke 0-0 5.00 vs Bassitt 1-0 0.93

A few guys are a hit or two away from looking like they’re good vs Greinke (Chapman 2/8, K. Davis 2/6, Olson 2/6) I’d maybe roll the dice with Olson since he’s starting to hit rockets.  Semien is ok too 3/7 with 1 HR.

Don’t love this game for Bassitt:

Altuve 5/14

Bregman 4/11

Gurriel 5/11

Springer 3/11 2 HR and on fire in general

That’s enough for me to stay away from Bassitt.  Greinke is a solid start though.

9:40 Rockies at Mariners

Senzatela vs Kikuchi

2-0 2.45 vs Kikuchi 0-0 4.66

H2H is too limited to grab anyone based on historicals so grab a hot bat if you want to play someone here.  If you don’t have a lot of money to throw at a starter, Senzatela could be your guy today.  I wouldn’t touch Kikuchi.

9:40 Giants at Dodgers

Samardzija vs Urias 1-0 2.45

Belt 3/10 1 HR and 7 BB - .588 OBP

Pederson 4/12 1 HR

Pollock 6/18 2 HR

Seager 5/18 and playing well in general.

Turner 6/18

Samardzija no, Urias yes.  Cumulatively the Giants are only 13/58 with 1 HR vs Urias.

Good luck tonight!
