Fighting Chance Football Mock Draft #2

On July 20th, nine of our favorites in the fantasy football industry joined Steve, Ryan, and Patrick for another kind of early mock draft. We are still about six weeks away from the start of the NFL season, but I know people are itching to get to their fantasy drafts, and I know are looking to fantasy football's best to see where they should pick their favorite players. I am not going to continue to ramble, let's get to our competitors and of course, the picks. If you are serious about winning your leagues, I would follow all of them on Twitter right away. Let's get to the picks!

Jen Smith, The Fantasy Authority (@FF_female920)
Mike Florio, RotoExperts (@MichaelFFlorio)
Rob Touzet, Sirius/XM Fantasy Sports Radio (@y2zet)
Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat)
Bob Lung, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@Bob_Lung)
Allie Fontana (@alliefontana)
Joe Bond, Fantasy Six Pack (@fantasysixpack)
Nate Miller, Fantasy Alarm (@Miller_RotoDad)
Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37)
Joel Henard, So-Called Fantasy Sports (@JoelHenard)
Mike Werner, Friends With Fantasy Benefits (@MikeWernerFWFB)
Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance)

Round 1

Round/Pick Team Player
1.1 Jen Smith, The Fantasy Authority (@FF_female920) David Johnson, RB, Arizona Cardinals
1.2 Michael Florio, RotoExperts (@MichaelFFlorio) Le'Veon Bell, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers
1.3 Rob Touzet, Sirius/XM Fantasy Sports Radio (@y2zet) Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Dallas Cowboys
1.4 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) Odell Beckham, Jr, WR, New York Giants
1.5 Bob Lung, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@bob_lung) Antonio Brown, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers
1.6 Allie Fontana, The Fantasy Fix (@alliefontana) Julio Jones, WR, Atlanta Falcons
1.7 Joe Bond, Fantasy Six Pack (@fantasysixpack) Mike Evans, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
1.8 Nate Miller, Fantasy Alarm (@miller_RotoDad) Jordy Nelson, WR, Green Bay Packers
1.9 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) A.J. Green, WR, Cincinnati Bengals
1.10 Joel Henard, So Called Fantasy Experts (@JoelHenard) Jay Ajayi, RB, Miami Dolphins
1.11 Mike Werner, Friends with Fantasy Benefits (@MikeWernerFWFB) Melvin Gordon, RB, Los Angeles Chargers
1.12 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Devonta Freeman, Atlanta Falcons

The first round of a draft with folks of this skill level is going to be fairly boring. We know the picks, we have a lot of the same opinions, and there generally won't be too many surprises. There were a few picks that stood out a little. Rob Touzet (as he told me before we started) is not scared of all of the talk surrounding a possible suspension for Ezekiel Elliott and picked him third. I kind of agree with him that I think if he is suspended at all it might be two games that is knocked down to one. I was slightly surprised that Patrick Wisniewski selected Odell Beckham over Antonio Brown. However, behavior aside, Beckham is still one of the best in football so you can't blame Pat too much. I am a little leery about trusting Jay Ajayi with the tenth overall pick, but his ADP seems to be rising the closer we get to the season, so maybe I'm crazy. Personally, I like him more as a middle of the second round pick. Finally, I took Devonta Freeman. Should I have taken LeSean McCoy? Probably. Jordan Howard? Maybe. However, even with having to share some touches with Tevin Coleman, Freeman is still one of the best fantasy scorers and I'm not upset with this pick.

Round 2

Round/Pick Team Player
2.1 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Michael Thomas, WR, New Orleans Saints
2.2 Mike Werner, Friends with Fantasy Benefits (@MikeWernerFWFB) Amari Cooper, WR, Oakland Raiders
2.3 Joel Henard, So Called Fantasy Experts (@JoelHenard) T.Y. Hilton, WR, Indianapolis Colts
2.4 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) LeSean McCoy, RB, Buffalo Bills
2.5 Nate Miller, Fantasy Alarm (@miller_RotoDad) Jordan Howard, RB, Chicago Bears
2.6 Joe Bond, Fantasy Six Pack (@fantasysixpack) Demarco Murray, RB, Tennessee Titans
2.7 Allie Fontana, The Fantasy Fix (@alliefontana) Doug Baldwin, WR, Seattle Seahawks
2.8 Bob Lung, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@bob_lung) Dez Bryant, WR, Dallas Cowboys
2.9 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) Todd Gurley, RB, Los Angeles Rams
2.10 Rob Touzet, Sirius/XM Fantasy Sports Radio (@y2zet) Brandin Cooks, WR, New England Patriots
2.11 Michael Florio, RotoExperts (@MichaelFFlorio) Leonard Fournette, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars
2.12 Jen Smith, The Fantasy Authority (@FF_female920) Lamar Miller, RB, Houston Texans

I really wanted to take Jordan Howard here, but I didn't want to go RB/RB to start my draft. In hindsight I probably should have taken Howard or McCoy with the quality of receiver that was left when my third round pick came around. However, I reached a little for Michael Thomas. It wasn't a huge stretch. I love the guy. He was so good with Brandin Cooks on his team, I'm curious how good he can be as the number one guy. In New Orleans he should have a monster season. Steve and Nate were the beneficiaries of me not taking the running backs as they took my guys Howard and McCoy, both of which are awesome middle of Round 2 selections. Mike Werner took a guy I have very high hopes in with Amari Cooper, and like Patrick Wisniewski, I haven't lost total faith in Todd Gurley yet. As a later part of the second round pick, I am on the Gurley bandwagon for 2017. The two picks that intrigue me the most are Leonard Fournette to Mike Florio and Brandin Cooks to Rob Touzet. Both guys could have monster seasons and be among the best in fantasy at their positions. However, both come with some chances of an off year. Cooks goes to a New England system that likes to spread it around and he's a new guy. Fournette goes to a Jacksonville team that hasn't had success running the ball lately, but with an improved offensive line and Fournette's immense talent, he could be a stud rookie. I'm not sure what either will be but I can't wait to find out.

Round 3

Round/Pick Team Player
3.1 Jen Smith, The Fantasy Authority (@FF_female920) Keenan Allen, WR, Los Angeles Chargers
3.2 Michael Florio, RotoExperts (@MichaelFFlorio) Terrelle Pryor, WR, Washington Redskins
3.3 Rob Touzet, Sirius/XM Fantasy Sports Radio (@y2zet) Jarvis Landry, WR, Miami Dolphins
3.4 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) Allen Robinson, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars
3.5 Bob Lung, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@bob_lung) Isaiah Crowell, RB, Cleveland Browns
3.6 Allie Fontana, The Fantasy Fix (@alliefontana) Sammy Watkins, WR, Buffalo Bills
3.7 Joe Bond, Fantasy Six Pack (@fantasysixpack) Davante Adams, WR, Green Bay Packers
3.8 Nate Miller, Fantasy Alarm (@miller_RotoDad) Tyreek Hill, WR, Kansas City Chiefs
3.9 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Demaryius Thomas, WR, Denver Broncos
3.10 Joel Henard, So Called Fantasy Experts (@JoelHenard) Aaron Rodgers, QB, Green Bay Packers
3.11 Mike Werner, Friends with Fantasy Benefits (@MikeWernerFWFB) Rob Gronkowski, TE, New England Patriots
3.12 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Houston Texans

Round 3 was the official round of the wide receiver. Nine of the twelve picks were wideouts and they ranged from PPR gold to guys who get a lot of touchdowns. I ended the round with DeAndre Hopkins who I have the biggest man boner about ever. I know last year was bad. But the guy just has suction cups for hands. Put it anywhere near him and he's got it.  Last year, they couldn't even get it close enough to him for that. Even though last year was bad, he finished well, and I expect a bounceback season. Patrick Wisniewski did well taking Allen Robinson who did well at the end of the season when Doug Marrone was interim coach and he has been working with Randy Moss this offseason. Rob Touzet and Steve Rapin took PPR jackpots Jarvis Landry and Demaryius Thomas, while I did also like Joe Bond's pick of Davante Adams and Mike Florio selecting Terrelle Pryor. Adams broke out last year and should be the number two in Green Bay, while I really like Pryor in his new home in Washington with FAR superior quarterback play compared to Cleveland in 2016.

Round 4

Round/Pick Team Player
4.1 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Marshawn Lynch, RB, Oakland Raiders
4.2 Mike Werner, Friends with Fantasy Benefits (@MikeWernerFWFB) Alshon Jeffery, WR, Philadelphia Eagles
4.3 Joel Henard, So Called Fantasy Experts (@JoelHenard) Tevin Coleman, RB, Atlanta Falcons
4.4 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Julian Edelman, WR, New England Patriots
4.5 Nate Miller, Fantasy Alarm (@miller_RotoDad) Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Arizona Cardinals
4.6 Joe Bond, Fantasy Six Pack (@fantasysixpack) Travis Kelce, TE, Kansas City Chiefs
4.7 Allie Fontana, The Fantasy Fix (@alliefontana) Ty Montgomery, RB, Green Bay Packers
4.8 Bob Lung, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@bob_lung) MIchael Crabtree, WR, Oakland Raiders
4.9 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) Carlos Hyde, RB, San Francisco 49ers
4.10 Rob Touzet, Sirius/XM Fantasy Sports Radio (@y2zet) Christian McCaffery, RB, Carolina Panthers
4.11 Michael Florio, RotoExperts (@MichaelFFlorio) Golden Tate, WR, Detroit Lions
4.12 Jen Smith, The Fantasy Authority (@FF_female920) Joe Mixon, RB, Cincinnati Bengals

Emphasis in fantasy football seems to be going back in the direction of the running back as a number of them were taken in Round 4, and some have some question marks. I led off with Marshawn Lynch, who I do really like, but is coming off a year of inactivity and is on a new team. Pat Wisniewski went with Carlos Hyde who has had some question marks about his future with the team, as well as his yearly durability concerns. Rookies Christian McCaffery and Joe Mixon both look like they will be the main ball carriers for their teams, but it is sometimes hard to predict how first year players will do. All of these guys are solid picks here according to their ADP, but they do have concerns. More PPR gold receivers were taken in Round 4 with Julian Edelman to Steve Rapin, Larry Fitzgerald to Nate Miller, Michael Crabtree to Bob Lung, and Golden Tate to Mike Florio. All of these guys should have at least 85-90 catches and are great fourth round picks.

Round 5

Round/Pick Team Player
5.1 Jen Smith, The Fantasy Authority (@FF_female920) Eric Decker, WR, Tennessee Titans
5.2 Michael Florio, RotoExperts (@MichaelFFlorio) Emmanuel Sanders, WR, Denver Broncos
5.3 Rob Touzet, Sirius/XM Fantasy Sports Radio (@y2zet) Tom Brady, QB, New England Patriots
5.4 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) Drew Brees, QB, New Orleans Saints
5.5 Bob Lung, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@bob_lung) Jamison Crowder, WR, Washington Redskins
5.6 Allie Fontana, The Fantasy Fix (@alliefontana) Spencer Ware, RB, Kansas City Chiefs
5.7 Joe Bond, Fantasy Six Pack (@fantasysixpack) Donte Moncrief, WR, Indianapolis Colts
5.8 Nate Miller, Fantasy Alarm (@miller_RotoDad) Jordan Reed, TE, Washington Redskins
5.9 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Bilal Powell, RB, New York Jets
5.10 Joel Henard, So Called Fantasy Experts (@JoelHenard) Cameron Meredith, WR, Chicago Bears
5.11 Mike Werner, Friends with Fantasy Benefits (@MikeWernerFWFB) Dalvin Cook, RB, Minnesota Vikings
5.12 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Andrew Luck, QB, Indianapolis Colts

Three quarterbacks went in Round 5, and I was upset that I took the third one. I wish I could call Patriot fan Rob Touzet's pick of Tom Brady a homer pick, but truth be told I was planning on taking Brady. Next I set my sights on Drew Brees and Patrick Wisniewski took him one pick later. By the time my pick came around on the turn I didn't want to wait 20+ picks until I came around again so I took Andrew Luck. I'm not saying I'm not an Andrew Luck fan, but I feel more like I HAD to make that pick more than I wanted to make that pick. I was a big fan of Mike Werner's pick of Dalvin Cook. Sure the rookie has some off the field issues, but I have no faith left in backup Latavius Murray and I think Cook could have a solid impact. I also loved Allie Fontana's pick of Spencer Ware. Rookie Kareem Hunt is getting a lot of preseason love, but I think Ware will still be the primary ball carrier this season. Mike Florio took Denver's great second receiver Emmuanuel Sanders who always racks up the catches, and Joe Bond's Donte Moncrief should be a star if he can stay healthy.

Round 6

Round/Pick Team Player
6.1 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Greg Olsen, TE, Carolina Panthers
6.2 Mike Werner, Friends with Fantasy Benefits (@MikeWernerFWFB) Stefon Diggs, WR, Minnesota Vikings
6.3 Joel Henard, So Called Fantasy Experts (@JoelHenard) Kyle Rudolph, TE, Minnesota Vikings
6.4 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Martavis Bryant, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers
6.5 Nate Miller, Fantasy Alarm (@miller_RotoDad) LeGarrette Blount, RB, Philadelphia Eagles
6.6 Joe Bond, Fantasy Six Pack (@fantasysixpack) Danny Woodhead, RB, Baltimore Ravens
6.7 Allie Fontana, The Fantasy Fix (@alliefontana) Willie Snead, WR, New Orleans Saints
6.8 Bob Lung, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@bob_lung) Mike Gillislee, RB, New England Patriots
6.9 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) Paul Perkins, RB, New York Giants
6.10 Rob Touzet, Sirius/XM Fantasy Sports Radio (@y2zet) Brandon Marshall, WR, New York Giants
6.11 Michael Florio, RotoExperts (@MichaelFFlorio) Eddie Lacy, RB, Seattle Seahawks
6.12 Jen Smith, The Fantasy Authority (@FF_female920) Randall Cobb, WR, Green Bay Packers

There were a few highlights in Round 6, as a number of interesting players were taken. Stefon Diggs battled a groin injury and subpar quarterbacking last season and still managed 84 catches. The QB is the same, but he is healthy and I love the pick by Mike Werner. Steve took Martavis Bryant who to me is going to be a boom or bust player. He has big play ability but has been undercut by his off the field problems. He is coming off a full year missed and will likely either be a huge producer, or the Steelers might ease him back into action. Joe Bond took Danny Woodhead who is a great PPR back, and should have a similar role for the Ravens that he had for the Chargers, but all of a sudden Baltimore has a lot of options. Woodhead still likely has 75-80 receptions but not much role in the running game. Allie Fontana took Willie Snead who could have a nice jump in production with the loss of Brandin Cooks. Ted Ginn Jr did come to New Orleans, but I like that Snead already has a relationship with Drew Brees. I really liked Rob Touzet's pick of Brandon Marshall as I think he will be a good asset to the Giants offense and will get at least 80 catches. Finally, Pat Wisniewski went with Paul Perkins who I like for his running and pass catching ability, I just hope that the Giants offensive line will open holes for him to run through, unlike last season where they were almost entirely a passing team.

Round 7

Round/Pick Team Player
7.1 Jen Smith, The Fantasy Authority (@FF_female920) Marcus Mariota, QB, Tennessee Titans
7.2 Michael Florio, RotoExperts (@MichaelFFlorio) Jimmy Graham, TE, Seattle Seahawks
7.3 Rob Touzet, Sirius/XM Fantasy Sports Radio (@y2zet) Mark Ingram, RB, New Orleans Saints
7.4 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) Zach Ertz, TE, Philadelphia Eagles
7.5 Bob Lung, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@bob_lung) Matt Ryan, QB, Atlanta Falcons
7.6 Allie Fontana, The Fantasy Fix (@alliefontana) Hunter Henry, TE, Los Angeles Chargers
7.7 Joe Bond, Fantasy Six Pack (@fantasysixpack) Pierre Garcon, WR, San Francisco 49ers
7.8 Nate Miller, Fantasy Alarm (@miller_RotoDad) Kirk Cousins, QB, Washington Redskins
7.9 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Ameer Abdullah, RB, Detroit Lions
7.10 Joel Henard, So Called Fantasy Experts (@JoelHenard) Adam Theilen, WR, Minnesota Vikings
7.11 Mike Werner, Friends with Fantasy Benefits (@MikeWernerFWFB) Doug Martin, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
7.12 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) DeVante Parker, WR, Miami Dolphins

Three starting quarterbacks highlighted Round 7. The first to go was Marcus Mariota to Jen Smith. He has caused more conversation possibly than any fantasy quarterback. I do think that his stats will be worthy of a QB1 this year and was a solid selection. Matt Ryan went to Bob Lung, and Kirk (don't call me Kurt) Cousins went to Nate Miller. Ryan should have a regression in 2017, but will still be a definitely starting fantasy quarterback and is a solid selection here. As a 49ers fan I am hoping Cousins doesn't do too well to drive up the free agent contract we have to pay him, but he should be very good again and on the fringe of starting fantasy quarterbacks. Allie Fontana had another great pick with Hunter Henry. He had a solid number of touchdowns last season as Antonio Gates backup, and now he should be the lead tight end for the Chargers. As a 49er fan I'm hoping Joe Bond's pick of Pierre Garcon is great for PPR, and my pick of DeVante Parker in Miami will lead to many touchdown catches.

Round 8

Round/Pick Team Player
8.1 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Carolina Panthers
8.2 Mike Werner, Friends with Fantasy Benefits (@MikeWernerFWFB) Cam Newton, QB, Carolina Panthers
8.3 Joel Henard, So Called Fantasy Experts (@JoelHenard) Corey Coleman, WR, Cleveland Browns
8.4 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Delanie Walker, TE, Tennessee Titans
8.5 Nate Miller, Fantasy Alarm (@miller_RotoDad) Frank Gore, RB, Indianapolis Colts
8.6 Joe Bond, Fantasy Six Pack (@fantasysixpack) Russell Wilson, QB, Seattle Seahawks
8.7 Allie Fontana, The Fantasy Fix (@alliefontana) Theo Riddick, RB, Detroit Lions
8.8 Bob Lung, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@bob_lung) Julius Thomas, TE, Miami Dolphins
8.9 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) John Brown, WR, Arizona Cardinals
8.10 Rob Touzet, Sirius/XM Fantasy Sports Radio (@y2zet) DeSean Jackson, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
8.11 Michael Florio, RotoExperts (@MichaelFFlorio) Jeremy Maclin, WR, Baltimore Ravens
8.12 Jen Smith, The Fantasy Authority (@FF_female920) Jack Doyle, TE, Indianapolis Colts

I started Round 8 with Kelvin Benjamin, and then five more wide receivers went off the board. I wasn't overly thrilled with my choice, but there was no one else that I really loved at that spot so for the second time I took someone I felt I had to more than I wanted to. I am a big fan of Allie Fontana's choice of Theo Riddick. I don't have any faith that this is the year that Ameer Abdullah takes the reigns as the starting running back, and Riddick showed me some last year that he can actually run the ball too and not just be a receiver out of the backfield. Of course, this is all if he can stay healthy. I believe that Rob Touzet's pick of DeSean Jackson will pay him dividends. Jackson isn't the number one receiver in Tampa, and the fact that defenses have to key on Mike Evans means that D-Jax should find some opens seams. I am also a fan of Steve's pick of Delanie Walker at tight end. Sure, the Titans did load up on offensive weapons, but Walker is still a great safety valve for Marcus Mariota.

Round 9

Round/Pick Team Player
9.1 Jen Smith, The Fantasy Authority (@FF_female920) Marvin Jones, WR, Detroit Lions
9.2 Michael Florio, RotoExperts (@MichaelFFlorio) Jamaal Williams, RB, Green Bay Packers
9.3 Rob Touzet, Sirius/XM Fantasy Sports Radio (@y2zet) Kareem Hunt, RB, Kansas City Chiefs
9.4 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) C.J. Anderson, RB, Denver Broncos
9.5 Bob Lung, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@bob_lung) James White, RB, New England Patriots
9.6 Allie Fontana, The Fantasy Fix (@alliefontana) C.J. Prosise, RB, Seattle Seahawks
9.7 Joe Bond, Fantasy Six Pack (@fantasysixpack) Samaje Perine, RB, Washington Redskins
9.8 Nate Miller, Fantasy Alarm (@miller_RotoDad) Tyrell Williams, WR, Los Angeles Chargers
9.9 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Jameis Winston, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
9.10 Joel Henard, So Called Fantasy Experts (@JoelHenard) Matt Forte, RB, New York Jets
9.11 Mike Werner, Friends with Fantasy Benefits (@MikeWernerFWFB) Josh Doctson, WR, Washington Redskins
9.12 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Terrance West, RB, Baltimore Ravens

Round 9 was started with Jen Smith taking Jack Doyle which I have a hard time arguing with. Doyle was a good touchdown source at tight end and that was before Dwayne Allen left town. Doyle now has a chance to be a very productive fantasy tight end. Eight of the next eleven picks were running backs. My two favorite are C.J. Prosise by Allie Fontana and Samaje Perine by Joe Bond. I'm not sold on Eddie Lacy to the Seahawks, and Thomas Rawls has always struggled to stay healthy. Prosise is a very agile and very good pass catcher out of the backfield. I'm also not a huge Rob Kelley believer and looking to see if rookie Perine can take the job from Training Camp. Both picks are great risks. I also really like Tyrell Williams to Nate Miller after the news of the Mike Williams injury for the Chargers. Lastly, I like the gamble of C.J. Anderson to Pat Wisniewski. Jamaal Charles may of come to town, but Anderson has already been in Denver a few years and doesn't have nearly the injury history that Charles does. He could be a mid to late round steal.

Round 10

Round/Pick Team Player
10.1 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Joe Williams, RB, San Francisco 49ers
10.2 Mike Werner, Friends with Fantasy Benefits (@MikeWernerFWFB) Rishard Matthews, WR, Tennessee Titans
10.3 Joel Henard, So Called Fantasy Experts (@JoelHenard) Allen Hurns, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars
10.4 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Jordan Matthews, WR, Philadelphia Eagles
10.5 Nate Miller, Fantasy Alarm (@miller_RotoDad) Latavius Murray, RB, Minnesota Vikings
10.6 Joe Bond, Fantasy Six Pack (@fantasysixpack) Duke Johnson, RB, Cleveland Browns
10.7 Allie Fontana, The Fantasy Fix (@alliefontana) Derek Carr, QB, Oakland Raiders
10.8 Bob Lung, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@bob_lung) Marqise Lee, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars
10.9 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) Corey Davis, WR, Tennessee Titans
10.10 Rob Touzet, Sirius/XM Fantasy Sports Radio (@y2zet) Adrian Peterson, RB, New Orleans Saints
10.11 Michael Florio, RotoExperts (@MichaelFFlorio) Zay Jones, WR, Buffalo Bills
10.12 Jen Smith, The Fantasy Authority (@FF_female920) Jonathan Stewart, RB, Carolina Panthers

My favorite pick of the round goes to Allie Fontana with David Carr.  He is one of my favorite quarterbacks this year, and to be able to wait until Round 10 to get a stud starting quarterback is just incredible work. I went with Joe Williams as a rookie running back that I think has a chance to eat into Carlos Hyde's carries from the start of the season. Head Coach Kyle Shanahan wanted this guy and I think he will have a meaningful role early on in the season. Jordan Matthews can be a steal of a pick if he can stay healthy and form a repoire with quarterback Carson Wentz. Rookie Zay Jones is looking like a great fantasy late round selection as a solid bet to have a role in the Bills passing game. Lastly, Jonathan Stewart has been a steady force in the Panthers run game for a long time. If rookie Christian McCaffery struggles at all, Jen Smith could have a late round steal.

Round 11

Round/Pick Team Player
11.1 Jen Smith, The Fantasy Authority (@FF_female920) Mike Wallace, WR, Baltimore Ravens
11.2 Michael Florio, RotoExperts (@MichaelFFlorio) Matthew Stafford, QB, Detroit Lions
11.3 Rob Touzet, Sirius/XM Fantasy Sports Radio (@y2zet) Martellus Bennett, TE, Green Bay Packers
11.4 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) John Ross, WR, Cincinnati Bengals
11.5 Bob Lung, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@bob_lung) Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys
11.6 Allie Fontana, The Fantasy Fix (@alliefontana) Robert Woods, WR, Los Angeles Rams
11.7 Joe Bond, Fantasy Six Pack (@fantasysixpack) Derrick Henry, RB, Tennessee Titans
11.8 Nate Miller, Fantasy Alarm (@miller_RotoDad) Tedd Ginn, Jr, WR, New Orleans Saints
11.9 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers
11.10 Joel Henard, So Called Fantasy Experts (@JoelHenard) Kevin White, WR, Chicago Bears
11.11 Mike Werner, Friends with Fantasy Benefits (@MikeWernerFWFB) Tyler Eifert, TE, Cincinnati Bengals
11.12 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Kenny Stills, WR, Miami Dolphins

Round 11 was kind of a grab bag as all four major positions were selected. Just one running back went, but it was one with a chance to be very good in Derrick Henry. If anything were to happen to Demarco Murray, the world would descend on Henry. He is a great guy to stash on your bench despite Murray's durability. Big play receivers did headline the round though as Mike Wallace, Kenny Stills, John Ross, Kevin White, and Ted Ginn Jr. were all selected. None of these guys will get 90 receptions, but they all will get 7-10 touchdowns and have some late round value. I LOVE Martellus Bennett here as I think he will be a big part of the Packer passing game. I am also a fan of Steve's pick of Big Ben and Mike Florio taking his only quarterback of Matthew Stafford. I look for him to have the ability to top out at 31 touchdowns with 4,500 yards and be a starting caliber fantasy quarterback

Round 12

Round/Pick Team Player
12.1 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Philip Rivers, QB, Los Angeles Chargers
12.2 Mike Werner, Friends with Fantasy Benefits (@MikeWernerFWFB) Chris Conley, WR, Kansas City Chiefs
12.3 Joel Henard, So Called Fantasy Experts (@JoelHenard) Marlon Mack, RB, Indianapolis Colts
12.4 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Eric Ebron, TE, Detroit Lions
12.5 Nate Miller, Fantasy Alarm (@miller_RotoDad) Jamaal Charles, RB, Denver Broncos
12.6 Joe Bond, Fantasy Six Pack (@fantasysixpack) Kenny Britt, WR, Cleveland Browns
12.7 Allie Fontana, The Fantasy Fix (@alliefontana) Darren Sproles, RB, Philadelphia Eagles
12.8 Bob Lung, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@bob_lung) Taylor Gabriel, WR, Atlanta Falcons
12.9 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) Breshad Perriman, WR, Baltimore Ravens
12.10 Rob Touzet, Sirius/XM Fantasy Sports Radio (@y2zet) Kenneth Dixon, RB, Baltimore Ravens
12.11 Michael Florio, RotoExperts (@MichaelFFlorio) Devontae Booker, RB, Denver Broncos
12.12 Jen Smith, The Fantasy Authority (@FF_female920) "Fat" Rob Kelley, RB, Washington Redskins

Speculative running back seemed to be the popular choice in Round 12, as six of the twelve picks were on running backs. Probably the best was by Steve Rapin who took Jamaal Charles. Now, I am very far from a Charles fan, but he has been explosive in the past and if he is healthy he could dominate the Denver backfield. Mike Florio later in the round put his bet on Devontae Booker. He will have to be much better than he showed last year, but the kid definitely has talent. I love Joel Henard's pick of Marlon Mack. Frank Gore is a couple of years over the hill, and one of these season's his production will finally tank. Betting on his backup in the 12th round is solid. Allie Fontana also had a great pick with Darren Sproles. Since this is a PPR league, Sproles has great value. Throw in his high percentage of receptions out of the backfield with his elusive running ability and Sproles can take any touch to the house. Rob Touzet went with Kenneth Dixon who was supposed to be the Ravens' starter last year before injuries struck. This year a suspension will cost him the first four games of the season, but Rob is hoping he will hit the ground running (literally) when he is able to return. Fat Rob Kelley was one of the better surprises at running back in 2016. Jen Smith hopes that he can continue that trend despite the 'Skins taking another running back in the fourth round of the draft that people seem to really like. I wouldn't be surprised if Kelley starts in Week 1, but he will have to be very effective to hold off Perine all season.

Round 13

Round/Pick Team Player
13.1 Jen Smith, The Fantasy Authority (@FF_female920) Quincy Enunwa, WR, New York Jets
13.2 Michael Florio, RotoExperts (@MichaelFFlorio) Will Fuller, WR, Houston Texans
13.3 Rob Touzet, Sirius/XM Fantasy Sports Radio (@y2zet) Sterling Shepard, WR, New York Giants
13.4 Patrick Wisniewski, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@polkapat) Seattle Seahawks D/ST
13.5 Bob Lung, Big Guy Fantasy Sports (@bob_lung) Alvin Kamara, RB, New Orleans Saints
13.6 Allie Fontana, The Fantasy Fix (@alliefontana) Cole Beasley, WR, Dallas Cowboys
13.7 Joe Bond, Fantasy Six Pack (@fantasysixpack) Mohamad Sanu, WR, Atlanta Falcons
13.8 Nate Miller, Fantasy Alarm (@miller_RotoDad) David Njoku, TE, Cleveland Browns
13.9 Steve Rapin, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fantasygeek37) Houston Texans D/ST
13.10 Joel Henard, So Called Fantasy Experts (@JoelHenard) Denver Broncos D/ST
13.11 Mike Werner, Friends with Fantasy Benefits (@MikeWernerFWFB) Carolina Panthers D/ST
13.12 Ryan Hallam, Fighting Chance Fantasy (@fightingchance) Jacquizz Rodgers, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Round 13 is generally the last one before people start picking their kickers and defenses, although you'll notice that four defenses were selected here. Team defense, while it might not be your favorite, is still a starting roster spot, so if you want to start a round early to get an elite one, I can't fault you for that. Steve, Pat, Joel, and Mike all did just that. I took Jacquizz Rodgers who I think will start for the Bucs the two games that Doug Martin is suspended, and I think with Martin's injury history, is a great running back to stash on your bench. Jen Smith started out the round with a bang with a good late draft pick of Quincy Enunwa. Q is the most reliable receiver the Jets have coming into 2017, and if they get anything that resembles solid quarterback play, Enunwa could be a WR3. Mike Florio took one of my favorite late round receivers in Will Fuller. He got off to a great start before injuries interrupted his rookie season and he was never the same guy again. He's another one if he gets good QB play, he could far exceed this draft value.

This is our second mock draft and as in most, kickers and defenses will dominate. I don't spend too much time analyzing these last two rounds, but a few picks did stand out to me. Two very solid defenses that went at the end of Round 14 were the Giants and the Chiefs. Mike Florio got the Giants who took their revamped D and shut down opponents all season with standouts Snacks Harrison and Landon Collins. Being the ninth defense taken, this was a great selection. A few picks earlier, Joe Bond nabbed the Chiefs who are in a fairly strong division as far as opposing offenses go, but they are still among the leauge’s best. He definitely got good value there. I still remain amazed that Eli Manning is available in the 14th round with added weapons and a definite bounceback year in the works. Patrick Wisniewski getting Thomas Rawls could be a great 14th round pick if Eddie Lacy isn’t able to stay in enough shape to be effective. Kickers are kickers. Good luck with those.
