Food City 500 at Bristol

Hello, race fans!  It's time for the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway! Our lineups cashed again last week, so let's make more money this week!  The weather looks clear, with temps in the 60s. The race is slated to begin at 3:30 pm Eastern. Start your engines!

NASCAR DFS

I'll be playing in Draft Kings this week. If you're new to the NASCAR DFS world, here's a quick summary of how scoring is done:

Look for a mix of drivers that fit the following:

Starting up front can potentially lead to lots of laps.

Good drivers starting farther back can pass many cars and finish with a strong differential.

Drivers starting up front I like:
Joey Logano, Kyle Larson

Drivers with great differential potential and could lead laps:
Alex Bowman, Denny Hamlin

Drivers with great differential points and possible top finishes:
Daniel Suarez, Justin Haley

Most likely to be chalk plays:
Chris Buescher, Ross Chastain

This week is a bit more difficult as long green flag runs will likely build dominator points for guys up front; however, Chris Buescher may be able to hold down differential and dominator points today.

Race Winner  Denny Hamlin
Best Bet for a solid finish Christopher Bell, Kyle Larson
Dark Horse Differentiators AJ Allmendinger, Josh Berry

It's going to be hard to beat the chalk of Chris Buescher today, but this is a track where those out front tend to stay out front, and dominator points with laps lead and fastest laps are easier out front. I like Ty Gibbs and Brad Keselowski to finish better than their starting position.

NASCAR Fantasy Live:

The revamped Fantasy Live game run by NASCAR.com is a free game to win prizes and test your skills at picking drivers with limited starts. Each driver has ten allocations, a garage slot you can swap with mid-race, and the ability to choose drivers in head-to-head match-ups for bonus points.

I'm rolling with known entities this week. AJ Allmendinger may also be worth a look, as we don't get many races with him this year. Here's who I have in my NASCAR Fantasy Live Pool this week:

One-and-done Games:

Earlier this year, I wrote about different strategies in "one-and-done" leagues.  This season, I'll lay out some names that fit each strategy throughout the season.  The order I show them is the order I would play them this week.

"Parachute Theory" or "Studs early and often:" Kyle Larson, Ryan Blaney, Christopher Bell

"Steady Hand Theory" Mix of Studs and Mid-pack drivers: Bubba Wallace, Chase Briscoe, Chris Buescher

"Late Bloomer Strategy" No Studs Early and often: Harrison Burton, Carson Hocevar, Corey LaJoie
