The DFS Drive: Divisional Round Weekend

Playoff football is now in full swing with the Divisional games upon us. DFS action in the playoffs is much different from the regular season as the main slate only features four games.

In addition, your season long leagues are now probably over. However, admit it, you still got that itch right? We would love you to try daily fantasy sports at either DraftKings, FanDuel, Yahoo or whatever site you like best.

We at the Fantasy Sports HQ have you covered. Thanks again to Fighting Chance for giving us this platform to show what we can do to help your DFS

Luckily, our @nickfromcwe is able to fill in for Snoop this week.

Let us waste no time and get right into it. Who does Nick like this week?

Tom Brady – Yeah. In past years, we would have seen absurd ownership on Brady, but this year, he could be one of the least owned at the position. I think the Chargers can actually win this one, which means I think we could see one of Brady’s top games of the season.

Andrew Luck – Luck should be one of the more popular plays this week. I think we will see some struggle from the running game, and I think the Chiefs can get ahead, despite the Colts playing decent defense. I think Luck should have a good day.

Patrick Mahomes – No slight against Drew Brees, but I think Mahomes will have to air it out this week. This game should be close and high scoring and Mahomes has shown repeatedly what he is capable of in those situations.

Running Back

Nyheim Hines – Hines was a pretty popular play last week and after registering no stats, I have to believe that he will be off most players radars. Well, time to go back to the well. This game SHOULD suit him much better against a high tempo, high scoring offense.

Todd Gurley – Gurley should once again be the focus of the offense after receiving a few precautionary weeks off. Dallas has slipped a bit in their defense against running backs, but at the end of the day, his usage is what we are really after.

Alvin Kamara – Philly has shown a definite weakness against pass catching backs, including Kamara himself. I could see Kamara being the lost back this week, especially on DraftKings where Zeke and Gurley just really are not priced where they should be.

Wide Receiver

Keenan Allen – More than anything else, this is a gut call. Allen has been quiet for a while now. I think this matchup against the Patriots will be a signature game for him. They will need him to perform in order to stay competitive.

Michael Thomas – If price were not considered, Thomas would be the top person for me. However, he is costly, so he takes spot number two. I do not need to highlight Thomas much. He is a volume monster and should be able to get his this week. Get his what?

Robert Woods – Figuring out Rams receiver production is maddening on a week-to-week basis. This week, I like Woods. Dallas is solid on the perimeter but I think they can be had in the slot.

Dontrelle Inman – Three weeks, three touchdowns. Hilton still does not look 100% and I think Inman is still going to be a smart value play this week at a still affordable price.

Tight Ends

Travis Kelce – Seems like he is going to be worth the price of admission here. Ironically, this week is probably one of the best for tight ends all year. Mahomes looks for him, especially in the red zone.

Eric Ebron – Speaking of people in the red zone, here we have Ebron. The dude has 15 touchdowns on the year. You would think that number comes down next year, but who cares? Kansas City is no good against the position so this is a dream matchup.

Dallas Goedert – I rather expect Philly to end up running many 12 personnel this weekend, which means Goedert should see an inflated snap count. Mostly he is here because I want some value at the position and he is all I can stomach.

New Orleans – We have seen the Saints dominate at home over the second half of the season. Nick Foles is a magician, but will it extend here? Something tells me no.

Los Angeles Rams – Dallas has been woeful for the most part on the road this year. With this being the playoffs, I do think it will be subdued, but I still expect the Rams to get to Prescott and potentially force him into mistakes.

That is a wrap for this week’s DFS DRIVE. I hope you found this information valuable and look forward to seeing some green screens!
