Player Props: Week 12
After missing out on four of my five recommendations in Week 10, I reversed course in Week 11 and hit on four of my five bets. My season record is 35 wins and 28 losses, for a 56% winning percentage. Let’s keep it rolling with five more player prop bets that I like this week, and that I’m willing to share with you.
Please remember that gambling is super risky and you should only use funds that you can afford to lose.
Kareem Hunt, RB, Kansas City Chiefs
Over 76.5 rushing yards
With Isiah Pacheco inactive for Week 12 Hunt will continue to be the Chiefs’ lead back. He’s got a great matchup against the Carolina Panthers who’ve given up the second most rushing yards (1339) and the most rushing TDs (14) to RBs this season. With Pacheco expected back in Week 13 Hunt’s days as the Chiefs’ primary RB are probably numbered, but at least he’ll go out with a bang.
Tyrone Tracy Jr., RB New York Giants
Over 62.5 rushing yards
Ever since Tracy Jr. took over lead back responsibilities for the Giants he’s averaged 86 rushing yards per game and 5.43 YPC. Giants QB Tommy DeVito has a full week of practice under his belt but you never know how Giants head coach Brian Daboll will call this game. Back in Week 8 of last season DeVito only attempted seven passes despite playing 67% of the Giants’ offensive snaps. I’m thinking that Daboll (who is the Giants’ offensive play caller) will let DeVito attempt to air it out, but Tracy Jr. and the Giants’ run game will be heavily used as well. Tracy Jr. has a good matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who are giving up 4.81 YPC to RBs over the past five weeks.
Wan’Dale Robinson, WR New York Giants
Over 36.5 yards receiving
This is probably the riskiest pick I’m suggesting for the week but with Malik Nabers expected to play but possibly limited due to a groin injury, Robinson has a chance at being the Giants’ lead receiver. Even if Nabers isn’t limited he’d probably be used as the Giants’ deep ball threat against the Bucs, with Robinson being the WR targeted in short and intermediate plays. Robinson could be one of DeVito’s check down options (along with Tracy Jr., of course) in Week 12.
Justin Herbert, QB, Los Angeles Chargers
Over 255.5 passing yards
Herbert has a favorable matchup against the Ravens, who continue to be susceptible to the pass. They’ve given up the most passing yards to QBs (1560) over the last five weeks. Herbert has been lighting it up of late and has thrown for over 255.5 passing yards in three of his last four games.
Jared Goff, QB, Detroit Lions
Over 0.5 rushing yards
I’ll keep on playing this prop as many times as the odds makers make it available. As I’ve mentioned in this column before, Goff is not fleet of foot but he can fall forward for a yard. He rushed for two yards in Week 9 and 21 in Week 10 and he’s playing against the Colts, who’ve given up the eighth most rushing yards to QBs (70) over their last three games.
