Player Props: Week 6

I only hit on two of my five suggestions last week bringing my season long total to 17 wins and 15 losses. If only I had picked the over on Amari Cooper’s receiving yards last week instead of thinking he could have been an anytime TD scorer things would have been a lot different. Let’s hope that I won’t have to use the phrase “if only” in next week’s column. I’ve got five more player prop bets that I like this week and I’m willing to share them with you.

Please remember that gambling is super risky and you should only use funds that you can afford to lose.

Tyrone Tracy, RB, New York Giants

Over 57.5 rushing yards

This might be a homer pick (I am a Giants fan) or maybe it’s just recency bias kicking in because of Tracy’s big Week 5, but I love the over on Tracy’s Week 6 rushing yard total. Call it whatever you prefer, but with the Cincinnati Bengals giving up an average of 113 rushing yards per game to RBs this season and Devin Singletary out again this week, Tracy should be heavily involved in the Giants’ offense in Week 6.

Jayden Daniels, QB, Washington Commanders

Over 222.5 passing yards

Daniels has a great matchup against a Ravens’ defense that has been very good at stopping the run, but very bad at defending against the pass. So far this season the Ravens are giving up an average of 304 passing yards per game. With Daniels having thrown for at least 226 yards in his last four games, and the Ravens’ poor pass defense, he seems like a lock to hit the over on this prop.

Jalin Hyatt, WR, New York Giants

Under 16.5 receiving yards

With Malik Nabers out last week Hyatt played his highest percentage of offensive snaps of the season (67%) and still wound up with zero targets. He hasn’t caught a pass all season and won’t catch one in Week 6 either.

Deshaun Watson, QB, Cleveland Browns

Under 189.5 passing yards

Watson has only thrown for more than 189.5 passing yards once this season and he’s got a very tough matchup against the Eagles in Philadelphia. He’s been under pressure in the pocket all season long, having been sacked a league leading 26 times. This game could get ugly and we might see Jameis Winston play some snaps, getting some mop up duty in, before this game is over.

Jared Goff, QB, Detroit Lions

Over 0.5 rushing yards

If you’ve read this column before you know I love these kind of prop bets. Goff has rushed for at least one yard in three of his four games this season. He’s no speedster, but he should be able to fall forward and gain a yard on the ground. This one seems too easy. Are those my famous last words?
